Moorpark 21, Royal 21--Defensive back Robert Davis’ interception in the end zone with 1:06 to play stopped Moorpark’s potential game-winning drive at Moorpark.

Moorpark (3-5-1, 2-3-1) tied the score, 21-21, on Aaron Garcia’s 13-yard touchdown pass to Greg Estandia midway through the fourth quareter. The Musketeers, on their next possession, drove to the Royal 12-yard line, but Garcia’s third interception ended the drive.

Quarterback James Cox of Royal (5-3-1, 2-2-1) had touchdown runs of 28 and 10 yards, and threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Doug Hartman. Cox finished with 69 yards in 10 carries and Greg Morris had 100 yards in 19 carries.

Garcia completed 12 of 26 and also had a two-yard touchdown run.

Estandia had three receptions for 51 yards.
