Assn. for Computing Machinery presents SIGSOFT 2000, the Eighth International Symposium on the Foundations of Software Engineering, with a week of tutorials and symposia. Tutorials include Round-Trip Engineering, Information Security, Design and Source Code Modularity, and Model Checking.

Software Council of Southern California recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in making Southern California a growing center for software innovation and entrepreneurism. Awards presented include: CEO of the Year; 2000 Software Entrepreneur; Software Developer of the Year; Multimedia Company of the Year; and Internet Company of the Year.

This conference provides hands-on computer labs, 1,000 breakout sessions, an extensive exhibition and an e-mail and Internet lab open 24 hours a day.
