QLogic Announces New Product Release

Shares of QLogic Corp. rose 6% Thursday after the Aliso Viejo chip maker said it was releasing the industry’s first high-speed storage area network equipment ranging from controllers to switches for work groups.
The stock gained $6.63 to close at $114.94 a share in Nasdaq trading.
QLogic designs chips and circuit boards that link computers and data-storage systems.
