The driver who allegedly struck and killed an 81-year-old Burbank man who was on his way to visit his wife in a convalescent home turned himself in, police said Monday.

Octavio Altamirano, 21, of North Hollywood, surrendered to authorities late Sunday, said Burbank Police Lt. Joe Latta.

Altamirano was booked on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and was released on bail, Latta said.
