* Walter Henry Gleisberg; Electrical Engineer
Walter Henry Gleisberg, an electrical engineer, died Sunday at his home in Ventura after a long illness. He was 56.
He was born May 18, 1944, in Clinton, Mass., and graduated from Clinton High School.
Gleisberg received a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Massachusetts in Lowell. He also earned a master’s in business administration from Cal Lutheran University.
He enjoyed golf, diving, jogging, photography and coaching Little League. He was an enthusiastic supporter of Ventura High School’s boys’ water polo and girls’ basketball teams.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Carolyn Henke Gleisberg, son David, daughter Kristine, mother Viola F. Gleisberg, and sister Jacqueline Larose.
Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Joseph Reardon Funeral Home in Ventura. The funeral Mass is scheduled at 8:45 a.m. Thursday at the San Buenaventura Mission in Ventura.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the San Buenaventura Mission.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Joseph Reardon Funeral Home in Ventura.
