Reward Offered for Help in Solving 1998 Slaying
The Los Angeles City Council approved a $25,000 reward Tuesday for information leading to the conviction of the killer of Ana Gonzalez, who was robbed and slain in her North Hills apartment in 1998.
The Los Angeles Police Department has released a drawing of a possible suspect but have exhausted all leads in the case and are looking for the public’s help, said Councilman Hal Bernson, who sponsored the reward motion.
“This is an urgent matter in which they think that information submitted quickly can help solve the case,” Bernson told his colleagues.
Gonzalez was shot dead on July 1, 1998.
