Officers from the La Habra Police Department will conduct a DUI checkpoint from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. Friday. The checkpoint comes a week before the Thanksgiving holiday, when drunk driving cases tend to increase, authorities said. During a similar checkpoint before Halloween, police made four DUI arrests. Officers also plan to increase regular street patrols over the Thanksgiving holiday.
