Musicians Event Covers 4 Genres

The 30th annual Orange County Musicians’ Festival will draw more than 300 musicians Nov. 26 to the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Tennis Club.
Music will be presented in four rooms devoted to big band, jazz, concert and classical. A two-pronged evening tribute to the Dorsey Brothers will feature the Bill Tole Orchestra and the Fabulous Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, directed by Jim Miller.
Others slated to take part include singers Dewey Erney and Karen Gallinger, the Buddy Childers Big Band, Ann Patterson’s Maiden Voyage, Bobby Redfield’s Latin Jazz Band and the Tracy Wells Orchestra.
Tickets are $24 in advance, $26 at the door, $12.50 for students with ID. Children 12 and younger are free. Proceeds go to the B. Douglas Sawtelle Music Scholarship Fund and the Musicians’ Emergency Relief Fund. Information: (714) 546-8166.
