Christmas Lights
* Re “Christmas Gives Power Officials the Shivers,” Nov. 17: How about encouraging consumers not to plug in their holiday lights until a week or two before Christmas and to unplug them at the official end of the Christmas holidays, Jan. 6, when the three wise men reached Bethlehem? That is only three weeks of lighting rather than the usual six. This should apply to stores as well.
