Florida High Court’s Ruling Against Gore
Text of the order by the Florida Supreme Court handed down Thursday, denying Al Gore’s request for the court to order Miami-Dade County officials to resume a hand count of presidential election ballots:
“The Court has considered the Petition for Writ of Quo Warrant, Writ of Mandamus, Prohibition or such other writ the Court deems appropriate under its all writs authority and alternative emergency Petition for Writ of Mandamus, and the writ is denied without prejudice to any party raising any issue presented in the writ in any future proceeding. No motion for rehearing will be allowed.”
