* Elanix Inc. in Westlake Village has named Michael Farris its director of business development.

Before joining Elanix in July, Farris was a senior scientist and department manager for the advanced technologies department of Sherman Oaks-based Arete Associates. Farris, who has a doctorate in space physics from UCLA, has more than seven years of experience in digital signal processing.

Farris will lead Elanix’s attempts to enhance its design software, SystemView, and strengthen corporate partnerships with companies such as Texas Instruments.

* Danna Campbell has been named the new president and chief executive of IMammogram.com in Westlake Village.

IMammogram.com offers a service called CloserLook that provides women and their radiologists with a computer-aided analysis of their mammograms. The service is available through participating mammography centers throughout the U.S. and via the Internet.

Campbell has 19 years of corporate and financial management experience and was most recently the chief executive and chief operations officer of Capital Golf Group Inc., a golf course management company.

Larry Chespak, the chief medical advisor and chairman of the board, cited Campbell’s “passionate commitment to women’s issues and the importance of early detection” as keys to her appointment.

Chespak, a practicing radiologist, founded IMammogram.com in 1999.

* NovaStor Corp. in Simi Valley has named Tom Lumia vice president of engineering and opened a new engineering office near Tampa, Fla.

The company already has development offices in Arizona and California.

Lumia has a background in engineering management and development, NovaStor officials said.

“We are on an aggressive schedule to develop new and innovative products for the Internet-connected world,” said Peter Means, NovaStor’s president and chief executive.

NovaStor manufactures backup, disaster recovery and data interchange software.

* PerfectData Corp. in Simi Valley has appointed Terry J. Baker as vice president of sales and marketing.

Baker’s responsibilities include expanding the market penetration of the company’s computer, office care and maintenance products and accessories.

Prior to joining PerfectData, Baker was vice president of worldwide sales and marketing for Cygnion Corp., a spinoff of Ericsson Inc., which designed and marketed computer products.
