UC Disciplines Los Alamos Staff
The University of California has launched disciplinary action against several staffers at the Los Alamos National Laboratory following the temporary disappearance of two computer hard drives containing nuclear secrets in May. A spokesman for the university, which runs the New Mexico weapons lab on a contract from the U.S. Energy Department, confirmed that “several managers and supervisors throughout the Los Alamos chain of command” were targeted for discipline following the disappearance of the hard drives, which were subsequently found.
