Sixty-five percent of workers and 77% of managers responding to a recent survey said the number of decisions they are expected to make each workday has increased.

In addition, more than 40% of both workers and managers blamed the need for multiple approvals for delays in decision-making, and a majority reported using e-mail and the Internet to inform their decisions, according to the survey of 339 workers and 479 managers by New Jersey-based Kepner-Tregoe Inc., a management consulting firm.
