* A Sept. 28 letter writer asks if anyone can top her AT&T; operator who didn’t know where London is. I have had a Verizon (then AirTouch) directory assistance operator actually say to me, “I’m sorry, I have no listing for a ‘Getty’ or ‘Getty Center’ in the Los Angeles area.”
