Transit in Europe

Share

* Re our MTA: Last month, my wife and I spent four weeks in Budapest, Vienna, Salzsburg, Munich and Prague. All of our travel was done by train (country to country) metro (subway), tram (streetcar) and bus (in the cities and surrounding areas). It was magnificent, never a problem, not even when demonstrations turned into a riot in Prague. If I wasn’t sure of a stop-off place I would show the map to the driver and he would make a special note of looking back and shouting out the name. Everyone was so courteous and none spoke English.

A little more than 10 years ago some of these areas were still occupied by the Russians. What a difference in our systems. Why?
