Amelia R. Magana; Lifelong Oxnard Resident

Amelia Ramos Magana, a homemaker, died Monday at her home in Oxnard. She was 75.

She was born on Sept. 22, 1925, and had been a lifelong resident of Oxnard.

She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 332.

Magana enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing, watching wrestling on TV and trips to Laughlin, Nev. She also enjoyed watching her son Lee’s baseball games and grandson Beau’s Little League games.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everardo Lopez Magana; a sister, Angelina Sanchez; and a brother, David Ramos.

She is survived by sons Guadalupe of Santa Barbara, Alphonso of New York and Robert, Thomas and Lee of Oxnard; daughters Rose Marie Walsh and Josephine Culp of Oxnard and Amy Anderson of Camarillo; sisters Gloria Bernal, Josephine Romo and Dolores Valdez; brothers Luis Ramos and Raymond Morales; six grandsons and two great grandchildren.

A funeral service is scheduled at 11 a.m. today at Camino del Sol Funeral Home and Memorial Center in Oxnard. Burial will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Assn.

Arrangements are under the direction of Camino del Sol Memorial Center and Funeral Home in Oxnard.
