* Red Herring Communications, a magazine and Web site company covering technology and business news, named Hilary Schneider as its new chief executive, replacing interim Chief Executive Christopher Alden. Schneider has been president and chief executive of Times Mirror Interactive’s media division. Tribune Co. acquired the division with its purchase of Times Mirror Co. this year.
