St. Vincent Medical Center will host nine-time Olympic gold medalist Carl Lewis and Jeffrey Marx, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Tuesday to discuss the need for organ transplant donors. Marx is the author of “It Gets Dark Sometimes: My Sister’s Fight to Live and Save Lives,” about his sister Wendy’s successful liver transplant. Lewis and Marx, as well as noted transplant surgeons Robert Mendez and Rafael Mendez, will meet with the hospital’s organ transplant support group. S.
