ANAHEIM
The Anaheim Union School District swore in Thomas “Hoagy” Holguin on Thursday as a trustee to replace Robert Stewart who resigned from the board several weeks ago. Holguin was selected by board members from 16 applicants to serve as a trustee until November 2002.
Holguin, 47, owns the Preferred Woodworks cabinet store in Riverside. He’s lived in the city for 17 years, has served as a board member for the Anaheim Boys and Girls Club, a commissioner for the Anaheim Redevelopment and Housing Commission, a volunteer for Anaheim code enforcement and is chairman for the Anaheim Police Officers Honorary Assn.
