Golden West College will open a photography exhibit Tuesday featuring work by Neil Chapman. The photos highlight the Santa Clara Pueblo potters and their pottery. Chapman’s work has evolved from landscapes and abstractions to portraits, primarily in black and white and naturally lighted. He uses large- and medium-format cameras.

A reception is tonight from 7 to 9 at the Fine Arts Gallery, 15744 Golden West St. Chapman is scheduled to lecture on his new book, “Santa Clara Portraits: A Proud Tradition.” The exhibit will continue through Nov. 17.

The gallery is open Monday through Fridays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Tuesday and Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. Information: (714) 895-8356.
