STANTON
The City Council last week approved a new ordinance that will use property liens to collect code enforcement costs for nuisance abatement. If the city finds it necessary to clean up a home or business because of excessive code violations, the cost of the cleanup will show up on the owner’s property taxes, said City Manager Terry Matz.
