Pop Music

Blood Drive 2000 is a pre-Halloween punk/roots/alternative extravaganza that’s being touted as the first time three kingpins of Los Angeles, New York and British punk have shared the same stage. X, with its original lineup, New York’s Misfits and England’s the Damned headline a strong bill that also includes Supersuckers, Hellbound Hayride, the Bleeders, Zeke and the Amazing Crowns that takes place outdoors at Hidden Valley Ranch, which is adjacent to Verizon Wireless Amphitheater and the Wild Rivers water park in Irvine. Oh, and that concert title? Not that the various bands haven’t proved themselves more than capable of sweating blood, but in this case it just means proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross.
