A free seminar, “Soothing Your Stomach,” will be held Thursday at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center to discuss gastroesophageal reflux disease--a frequent burning sensation in the stomach.
The condition, commonly mistaken as heartburn, affects about 7 million people and can lead to serious health problems.
Symptoms include frequent heartburn, a sour taste in the mouth, difficult or painful swallowing and chest pain.
A specialist in gastroenterology will discuss the causes and latest treatment from 10 to 11 a.m. at the hospital, 24451 Health Center Drive.
To register, call (949) 452-7255.
