Mission San Juan Capistrano has begun an exhibition of new and classic paintings of the old mission, including works by early 20th century artist Charles Percy Austin.
The exhibition also includes first-place paintings from the mission’s plein-air painting competition held each August for area and national artists.
The exhibition runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Oct. 9 in the mission’s Barracks Gallery, 31522 Camino Capistrano. Information: (949) 234-1300.
