The Handsome Actor in the White Stetson
I loved reading “Home on the Range” (Aug. 10). It took me back to the day I met Crash Corrigan at Corriganville in 1958. I had my movie camera, the old 8-mm one, with me, and asked him if he would pose for me. Instead, he took the camera from me, handed it to a bystander, put his arm around my waist and said, “Now walk toward the camera!” The handsome actor in his white Stetson and me, both smiling, still young, will live forever in that roll of film, even though now he is gone and I have become a senior citizen. What a wonderful day it was!
