* Update--The Galaxy will be without its three Olympians, Danny Califf, Peter Vagenas and Sasha Victorine, for the first round of the MLS playoffs. If the U.S. team is eliminated after the first round of the Olympic soccer tournament, they could be back by Sept. 20 but probably would not arrive in Los Angeles until a day or two after that. That would leave them available for the MLS semifinals should the Galaxy advance. Colorado midfielder Joey DiGiamarino of Corona also is on the Olympic team and will miss tonight’s game. The Rapids have lost only once in their last seven games at Mile High and twice in their last 11. MLS will announce playoff pairings and schedules Sunday.
