A masked gunman robbed a McDonald’s restaurant of an undisclosed amount of cash late Sunday, police said.

The holdup occurred about 11 p.m. in the 400 block of West Channel Islands Boulevard, shortly before the business was to close for the evening, according to Port Hueneme police.

The robber, his face partly covered with a blue bandanna, confronted two clerks at gunpoint and demanded money. Several employees in the kitchen were unaware of the holdup, police said.

Police were investigating whether the robber is the same man who held up a 7-Eleven in Oxnard last week.

Sunday’s robber was described as a 16- to 20-year-old, wearing a black hooded jacket and black gloves, and carrying a black semiautomatic handgun.

Anyone with information should call Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 385-TALK. There is a cash reward for information that leads to a conviction.
