Salei Severely Hampered by Injury

Share

Three days into training camp and defenseman Ruslan Salei has yet to skate with his teammates. A strained left hip has forced him to take long, slow solo turns around the Ducks’ practice rink.

“I’m skating without any speed,” Salei said. “I can’t stop and go. I’m just trying to stay in shape. It’s day by day.”

Salei is expected to be sidelined for today’s scrimmage--which will be held in front of about 13,000 school children taking a field trip to the Arrowhead Pond.
