Mary Colquhoun; Award-Winning Casting Director

Mary Colquhoun, 61, an Emmy Award-winning casting director for such television shows as “Citizen Cohn.” The London-born Colquhoun became highly respected for casting motion pictures, television films and television specials. She also had credits on Broadway, including casting of the plays “‘Night, Mother,” “Passion” and “Foxfire.” Colquhoun earned her first Emmy in 1993 for casting the HBO telefilm “Citizen Cohn,” about anti-Communist lawyer Roy Cohn, and her second in 1996 for casting the HBO program “Truman.” She also earned the Hoyt Bowers Award for lifetime achievement in casting from the Casting Society of America, said Carol Fineman of New York’s Public Theater. For television, Colquhoun had recently helped cast the series “Now and Again.” Among her film casting credits were “Glory,” “Sea of Love,” “A Shock to the System,” “Legends of the Fall” and “Courage Under Fire.” She had also cast “Novocaine,” due this fall, and “Pluto Nash,” due next year.
