* Frank Barbera, market analyst for KJLA-TV Channel 57, and David Wright, host of the show “Time for Mutual Funds,” will address the meeting of the Santa Barbara / Ventura chapter of the American Assn. of Individual Investors at 6:45 p.m. Sept. 26 at the Pierpont Inn, 550 Sanjon Road, Ventura.

* A breakfast meeting and workshop on disaster preparedness will be conducted by the city and county of Ventura and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at the Ramada Clock Tower Inn, 181 E. Santa Clara St., Ventura.

Representatives from the county Board of Supervisors, federal Small Business Administration, National Flood Insurance Program and Ventura County Sheriff’s Department will be there to help businesses plan for disasters.
