“A 1945 Chateau Pichon-Longueville. It was amazing the French continued to produce wine throughout the Second World War.... This was a second growth--and is still considered one of the best Bordeaux today. I’d had it for some time, and on occasion we drink some old wine to see how it fares.... This was still extremely young and had the typical taste of aged Bordeaux. It was still young and fruity.”
