CYPRESS
Cypress College reported a 12% increase in the number of degrees and certificates it awarded last year--up from 1,046 in 1998-99 to 1,174 in 1999-2000.
Associate of arts and associate of science degrees jumped to 749 last year from 689 the previous year, while certificate awards rose to 425, up from 357 the year before.
