Big Selection for Kids at Tiny World

Share

When you enter the warehouse-like atmosphere of Tiny World, it’s the customers who set the mood. Expectant mothers abound, as well as fathers and grandparents. They are drawn by the vast selection of strollers, cribs, car seats, furnishings and nursery accessories.

Most of the big names in furniture are on the floor, many from Canada, Italy and the U.S. A crib by Million Dollar Baby from Italy comes with drawers, a mattress and a complete set of bedding, all for $299. For older kids, a solid wood bunk is a good buy at $299.

Strollers were coming and going; an Aprica that some stores sell for $425 was a wonderful deal at $300. But by far the biggest sellers seemed to be car seats. It’s not just the prices, such as $79.99 for a Century 1000 model that runs $99 at many stores, or an Eddie Bauer for the same $20 savings, but Tiny World offers a terrific bonus. They employ three specialists who know all the ins and outs of installing a car seat and will do it for $10. Since so many of the injuries of tots in car seats occur because of improper installation, parents take advantage of this service.
