Register--or Be Silenced
You have to sit through the campaigns. You have to live with the election results. So now’s the time to make sure your voter registration is up to date--and to prepare to put it to good use.
The final date to register to vote in the Nov. 7 elections is Oct. 10. Any Ventura County resident who wants to register may do so at the elections division office in the Hall of Administration at the County Government Center, 800 S. Victoria Ave. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Registration forms also are available throughout the county at fire stations, post offices, chambers of commerce, libraries, city halls and at the California Department of Motor Vehicles. For more information, call 654-2664.
Remember: Those who don’t bother to vote lose their right to complain about the outcome.
