Trammell Pleads Guilty
* Re “Obscure Mail Fraud Statute Brought Ex-Judge Down,” Sept 15:
The feds bring a case against Judge George W. Trammell, and he pleads guilty. The feds got involved because Dist. Atty. Gil Garcetti knew the facts and didn’t even prosecute the crook.
Does L.A. needs a new district attorney? When the U.S. attorney has to pick up the slack because the D.A. won’t do his job, the answer is a resounding yes.
