Blossoming in a Warm Inland Area
Thank you for recognizing that not everybody lives near the mild-weather coastal areas of Southern California (“In Full Bloom--Even When the Heat Is On,” Aug. 24). We live in La Verne and loved the article about Sharon Lowe’s successful garden. Her effort has inspired us to do better with our clay, sloping yard in warm but wonderful La Verne.
