Prop. 39 and Pay Offer

Let me see if I get this right. Teachers and the PTA want to make it easier (Prop. 39) to pass school bond measures by lowering the percentage from two-thirds to 55%. Some of these same teachers think that a 20% pay hike over three years is insulting (Sept. 22). Even with having graduated from a California high school, I think I can do the math. I don’t think I want to let these people make it easier to raise my taxes. They’ve convinced me whose interests they have at heart (and, hint hint, it’s not the students’). I am voting no on Prop. 39.
