* Stage--The Santa Barbara Civic Light Opera will open Robert Louis Stevenson’s “Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde” Friday at the Granada Theatre, 1216 State St., Santa Barbara. * Rhythm--Is it dance? Is it music? The innovative percussion troupe Stomp will bring its sound spectacular to the Arlington Theatre, 1317 State St., Santa Barbara, for a series of performances this weekend. Troupe members create elaborate percussion effects with oil drums, wooden poles, wooden matches, hubcaps--everything, it seems, except drums. * Vocals--The Santa Barbara Vocal Jazz Foundation will present “An Evening of Music” on Saturday at the Lobero Theatre, to benefit the Dyslexia Awareness and Resource Center.
