Edgerson took a redshirt season last year to teach Kindergarten. Let’s hope he didn’t teach grammar.

Asked after Saturday’s win over Michigan State whether Arizona had forever shed its image as a soft team, Edgerson responded, “We ain’t no punks.”

Edgerson can tell the kiddies about his contribution to Saturday’s win. The senior forward had six points, three rebounds and one assist in 17 minutes.

More from Edgerson: He says it’s also time for people to quit picking on 7-1 center Loren Woods, who had 11 points and eight rebounds in Saturday.

“Loren is getting the job done,” Edgerson said. “Loren was in there banging with guys. He blocked shots. He wasn’t getting pushed around. He’s not a brawny guy, or a muscle guy, but the guy goes to work when it counts.”
