Rockefeller Center to Begin Walking Tours

Share

New York City’s Rockefeller Center, the “city within a city” in midtown Manhattan that includes Radio City Music Hall, the Rainbow Room club and NBC studios, is the subject of a new walking tour that will be offered daily starting Tuesday. Highlights include some of the more than 100 Art Deco works created for the complex, which dates to the 1930s; the Associated Press Building; and Christie’s auction house.

The 75-minute guided tour costs $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and for children age 6 to 16, free under 6. It is separate from the hourlong NBC studios tour ($17.50 per adult) that has operated for many years; however, a ticket that combines both tours can be bought for $21.50.

Tours depart every 30 minutes between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily from the NBC Experience Store at 30 Rockefeller Plaza and West 49th Street.
