Killer Apologizes, Dies for 2 Slayings

A convicted murderer apologized to his victims’ relatives before he was executed by injection for killing two teenagers.
Jason Massey also said he put the head and hands of one victim into a river.
“I can’t imagine what I’ve taken from you,” he said to the relatives of Christina Benjamin, 13, and her stepbrother, James King, 14.
The victims had disappeared from their home in Garrett. The girl’s hands and head had been severed, and there were signs she had been sexually mutilated.
