Seventeen-year-old Mandy Moore is in North Carolina shooting the lead role in the movie “A Walk to Remember,” based on Nicholas Sparks’ novel; she just worked alongside Julie Andrews in director Garry Marshall’s “The Princess Diaries’; and she’s about to start up on a summer run of her MTV daily show, “Mandy.” But the music news is that for her next album, due June 19, she’s jettisoned the programmed electronics in favor of real instrumental backing and a more mature sound. “In My Pocket,” the first single, was produced by Emilio Estefan.
