A brief police pursuit of a stolen pickup truck through the north San Fernando Valley ended Sunday evening when the truck crashed into another vehicle, killing one man and injuring at least three other people, authorities said.

The identities of the victims were not available.

The pursuit began about 6:45 p.m. when police tried to pull over the driver of a stolen 2001 Toyota Tundra in the 19000 block of Parthenia Street, said Sgt. Adolfo Godinez of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Devonshire Division.

The driver fled eastbound on Parthenia for about seven miles before hitting the other vehicle at Langdon Avenue in Van Nuys.
