Driver Held in Slaying After Fight
Police on Sunday arrested a driver who allegedly ran over and killed a man outside an Anaheim bar that morning.
Ryan Gene Epperson, 25, of Garden Grove got into an argument with a man in the Barbary Coast Bar in the 2200 block of West Colchester Drive in Anaheim, police reported. After the two took their dispute outside, Epperson ran over the victim and drove away, said Sgt. Rick Martinez of the Anaheim Police Department.
The victim was taken to Anaheim Memorial Medical Hospital but died shortly after his arrival. His identity is being withheld until family members can be notified.
Epperson was arrested without incident in Westminster on suspicion of murder and is being held without bail at Anaheim City Jail.
