In the Empire League:

No. 4 El Dorado 6, No. 8 Cypress 3--Brian Zurhellen had a double, a single and three RBIs and Nick McMillan pitched a five-hitter for visiting El Dorado (17-4, 8-2).

In the Freeway League:

No. 5 Sonora 17, Buena Park 7--Jacob Mendrin had two hits, including a three-run home run in the fifth inning, for visiting Sonora (18-2-1, 10-0). Mendrin, who finished with four runs batted in, also struck out nine in four innings.

In the Garden Grove League:

No. 3 La Quinta 10, Pacifica 0 (5, mercy)--Dennis Watt had three hits for La Quinta (20-2, 8-1). Mike McKernan struck out seven and walked one to improve his record to 8-1.

In the Sea View League:

No. 7 Aliso Niguel 17, Woodbridge 11--After Woodbridge (8-12, 3-8) scored 10 runs in the first inning, Aliso Niguel (16-4, 8-3) came back with 11 runs in the third. Chris Fielder and Gerry Rommel had three-run home runs in the inning and Jeremy Burchett added a two-run home run.

In the South Coast League:

No. 6 Trabuco Hills 7, Mission Viejo 6--Andrew Romine’s run-scoring single with two out capped a three-run rally in the bottom of the seventh for Trabuco Hills (17-4, 8-2).

In the Sunset League:

No. 1 Esperanza 7, Huntington Beach 4--Rick Taloa hit a three-run home run with two out in the bottom of the seventh to win it for Esperanza (18-3, 9-1).
