Protest at Gehry’s Office
Re “Gehry Focus of Protest,” July 26: I confess to a harsh assessment of architect Frank Gehry when I heard Playa Capital put him on its payroll to legitimize destruction of the Ballona Wetlands.
What a monument to his ego, I thought. (Sorry, Mr. Gehry, we haven’t even met.) Thanks for Bob Pool’s coverage of the protest at Gehry’s office. Knowing that Gehry agreed to tour the wetlands and meet with a coalition of groups committed to saving them gave me enough hope to make it through another stressful day in L.A.
