Deputies Cite Rodman for Speeding in Boat
Former NBA star Dennis Rodman was cited for speeding Friday in his 47-foot pleasure boat, with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department saying he was clocked at more than 20 mph in a 5-mph zone on Newport Bay.
Rodman was released on his own recognizance after docking the boat at Josh Slocum’s, a restaurant in which he has an ownership interest.
In early May, police shut down Rodman’s 40th birthday party after he made a helicopter entrance on the beach outside his home. The party, which featured entertainment by two rock bands, prompted dozens of noise complaints.
