The Orange County coroner’s office ruled Sunday that the deaths of a 37-year-old Yorba Linda woman and her unborn child were accidental.
Liza Ann Thorhaug, who was eight months’ pregnant, was test-driving a car at Weir Canyon Honda in Anaheim on Saturday when it was struck by a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old from Yorba Linda as she made a left turn out of the dealership’s parking lot. The cause of the crash remained under investigation, police said.
Thorhaug died of internal abdominal injuries and respiratory failure, the coroner’s office said. Her unborn child died of head injuries, the coroner’s office said.
