Woman Found Dead in Burned-Out Apartment

A 49-year-old woman was found dead in her burned-out studio apartment in Panorama City on Thursday morning, authorities said.
The woman’s identity was being withheld by authorities pending notification of her family.
The cause of death or of the fire had yet to be determined, said Bob Collis, spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire, reported at 4:36 a.m. in the 9500 block of North Van Nuys Boulevard, was extinguished 11 minutes later with the aid of 20 firefighters, he said.
