The average price of gasoline in Southern California continued to decline from its record highs in the spring, dropping 22 cents this month to $1.62 for a gallon of self-serve regular, according to the Automobile Club of Southern California. The club’s monthly Fuel Gauge Report, released Tuesday, is based on a survey of 2,800 gas stations.
